The market is popular with locals and tourists from nearby Orihuela Costa. On the market there are selling food, vegetables, fruits, flowers, clothes, shoes…The San Miguel Church dates back to the early 18th century. In 1829 there was a heavy earthquake in the region of Torrevieja and San Miguel de Salinas, the church is the only building that survived. The inside has been restored, so it is possible to climb to the bell-tower and enjoy a fantastic view over the pink salt lakes, the countryside with the citrus trees and the mountains. Tip:  do not forget to take your camera with you. The opening hours of the church of San Miguel is  from 10.00 to 12.00. It is recommended to ask the permission to the priest to visit the bell tower.
